Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) is a device that measures geometrical features of physical parts by collecting points on the surface with a probe. There are different types of probes in CMM such as mechanical, optical, laser and white light. Based on the need and the accessibility, we choose the specific probe in order to perform the measurement. We define the position of the probe in a three-dimensional Cartesian coordinate system. The CMM that we have at Precision Measurement and Design is brand new with PC-DMIS CAD software. The volumetric uncertainty of our machine is as small as 4.73 μm. With the high accuracy of our Coordinate Measuring Machine and climate controlled environment, we assure to deliver high accurate measurement results to our customer.
